2008-09 Animal Resource Directories Now Available!

(see below for ordering information)
Welcome to the website and on-line directory for the Animal Welfare Network of Lane County. AWNLC is an umbrella organization formed by various animal welfare organizations in Lane County to work cooperatively with vision and compassion to improve the lives and health of all animals. We are happy to announce our collaboration with The Muddy Puddle, a website devoted to providing resources for companion animal rescue education - yet another way we network to provide more resources for our community.
An e-mail group has been set up for members to communicate with each other. It is an open membership, un-moderated list. If you are interested in joining, you can learn more about it here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/awnlc/
This website is the result of one major AWNLC project - a resource directory of Lane County animal welfare organizations. Originally published in 2002 and updated annually, the directory is given free of charge to Lane County public safety offices, government agencies, libraries, schools, veterinary clinics, county shelters and rescue groups, and various pet-related businesses. Until the directory was published and distributed, there was no single place to look to find groups and organizations to which people could be directed, whether the concern was what to do about a stray animal or where someone could find financial assistance or veterinary care for their companion animals.
Now both a paper and on-line directory are available. To find an organization, click here or on the Local Resources button. If you have questions, suggestions, or changes for the directory information, or if you would like to purchase a copy of the written directory please click here: Contact Us.
